New Discovery Sport anyone.
Looks like a Freelander with a RRS rear.
Not sure on first impressions if I like it, or what it is supposed to be.

I like the look of it. It's the first of the designs to hold the various new LR cues together in one design in a harmonious way. Perhaps the lack of silly plastic not-vents everywhere helps.

It's a shame it's on steel springs and has part-time 4WD but other than that it looks like a good bit of kit. The space certainly appeals.

I could see one as a daily drive with the RRS kept for "interesting" outings Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

They go to all these exotic locations, having fun testing it but it will still have problems with ARB bushes in 30k miles and will probably have the usual "suicide hesitation"!

I like it, but might have to save a lot to afford one to my spec, or save money and buy a ex demo when the new engine arrives and has been tested

It's the LWB Discovery Sport that's just been announced with 7-seats in each version - no doubt an Evoque XL would get a good price hike and a SWB Discovery Sport 5-seat should be cheaper.

The DS (Disco Sport) is a big vehicle. It's wider than RRS1 and has basically the same wheelbase as RRS1. Just a shorter rear overhang as far as I can tell. The interior space is impressive - with the seats flat it's got the same load length as FFRR and with the middle row of seats pushed back you get better legroom than FFRR.

As a family vehicle this thing has a lot going for it.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the new FFD (Full Fat Disco) next year - it's got a lot to live up to now. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
