I wonder how much of a premium they are looking for. Looks good in black (though I think the headlining should be the same) but impossible to keep clean. Mark

Anyone fancy phoning to ask? Guess it does rather depend on spec though. Mine is coming in at a fraction until £100k but my dealer has another order for one over £115k. SOLD - 15 plate Estoril SVR

SOLD - 64 plate Aleutian Silver Supercharged

SOLD - 63 plate Corris SDV6 Autobiography

Yes, the options list is an exercise in (lack of) self-control. Of course it's down to personal choice and we'll each build our ideas of what's worth having and what's not.

1 week in, I like the options which give me more information - lane departure/traffic sign recognition, surround cameras, reverse traffic, blind spot and I suppose wade sensing will be interesting if I ever go into deep water. I don't have the HUD and it's the only option I perhaps should have added.

Less convincing are the parking aids. I haven't tried them but it will take some convincing to try them and not end up with a scuffed bumper or wheels. Mind you, I'm still learning how to park it because it is bigger than anything I am used to. I came close to scuffing the wheels in the pitch dark and would have with 22s.

The expensive Meridian option is nice but you need to like your music to justify it. If you normally listen to the radio, you may wonder what all the fuss/expense is about.

Spare wheel, luggage rails suit my use of the car. Carbon fibre, very nice in the car, extravagant under the bonnet.

The runt of the litter for me is InControl Apps; in theory, the ability to run apps on the touch screen is good but the performance/resolution is so different from the phone that it's hardly a pleasure and the range of supported apps is small. Not everything on your phone can run on the car.

Others here will have other options - TV, remote park heat, wheels and the rest and I'll be interested to hear how you find them. Mark

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Sumatra Black

I think the most one can get to without the dealer-fit accessories is just over £114k. Notice the leather on the rear seats Neutral

There's surprising sample variation and, as we've said before, you have to wonder at the quality control at Lear/Johnson Controls/whoever in letting that through and the same at Land Rover.

I'm pleased this is one battle I'm not having to fight with the dealer - the car is going in for 3 things tomorrow - missing cooler, misaligned number plate, broken TPMS, so that's enough for now. Mark

Thank you. Turns out the front number plate is mis-aligned too, flush with one edge of the backing plate and overlapping the other by 3mm. I'll probably let that one go. Mark

Predictably, the TPMS had started working, the saleman's technical take was that "it takes time to get going". More likely, there's a loose connector making intermittent connection. We'll see.

I'm getting them to simply stick the number plate on, no more screw holes in my tailgate. As for the cooler, we'll see... Mark

You press the start button without pressing the brake pedal. This switches on the ignition. You then click on OK multiple times to get through the "press break pedal when starting" messages to eventually arrive at the menu. Go down to Service and select the option to display the pressures. This is what I am normally rewarded with...

I cannot for the life of me understand why you have to go through this rigmarole and why the pressures cannot be displayed when you are on the move. Mark
