Just been quoted £480 for a service at Guy Salmon Coventry - 3rd Service -20k mileage - £65 mot Sad

Oh well just paid £485 road tax - now that's a Censored Censored I do less than 5000 miles a year Big Cry 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Don't understand why modern cars are being F Censored ing shafted by the government for road tax. Should be charging all the old bangers to get them off the road. Pay as you go tax would be better for me. Mr. Green

Very Happy totally agree - charge by the mile or put it on the fuel - my only concern would be for the RHA Big Cry 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

There is no way you will recover the cost of paying the extortionate dealer service costs when you come to sell if you have kept your pride and joy for say 5 years.

I suppose It is a plus point for moving it on, but if the motor is well looked after, serviced as required and its priced right should be no problem anyhow.

People put to much emphasis on main dealer servicing and its just a rip off. Any reputable garage can follow LR check sheet and replace oil, filters etc. and also abide by any specific service requirements
