I was going to buy a specialist lance and foam but thought I'd give it a go with what I already had available... I thought it did a pretty good job. There was loads of foam and it clung to the car for a good length of time - when I washed it all off the car was practically clean!

Can I resurrect this topic, I've bought a new macallister pressure washer but I'm struggling to work out which connection I'd need for a snow lance. Has anyone got a macallister? It seems the old macallister fittings are slightly different to the new ones too. |

If it's none of these, you you are going to find it difficult to find one [URL=]
If you can't find one the alternatives are, a replacement popular brand machine, or a hand pump sprayer. I also have one of these. [URL=]
How it performs [URL=]

Because I have to lug my pressure washer out of the basement every-time I want to wash my car I rarely use it. Now I just use a normal soap dispensing nozzle off the hose after an initial pre-rinse and then a rinse and then the hand wash. I find Results are the same, it just takes a few minutes more but way faster than the time it takes to set the pressure washer up. This may change once I move into my new home with the double car garage |

Thanks pal, I'm sorted now, it turns out the fitment for a new macallister is the Lavor/halfords one whereas the older macallister uses the Bosch/ b&q one. Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

The local car wash guys based at our nearby large garden centre use diluted snow foam agent in a hand pumped Hozeloc garden sprayer, seems to get the same results as using it with a pressure washer. Certainly better than I can get with the Karcher reservoir and snow foam attachment that I have for my pressure washer. To the extend that I no longer use my Karcher for washing the RRS and go to the garden centre and listen to the radio while somebody else gets cold and wet for £6. Still use the pressure washer with a long lance attachment for cleaning the mud out of my Defenders underside nooks and crannies. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
