rrs supercharged 4.2,5.0 engine problems ?

just having read all the engine problems with the diesels ,has anyone had problems with the supercharged engines ? apart from gassing them ?

I'm sure someone has some horror stories but mines been great over the years with no problems. As long as it's been looked after,servicing etc. Though don't touch a gas convertered supercharged.

Had two.

Both A1 and superb engines. Never missed a rev in over 100,000 miles.

thats reasureing Very Happy it just make me a bit nervous when you hear all the doom and gloom with the diesels

4.2 known for squealing. Belt and bearing replacement.
- Also, viscous cooling fan failures are common.

The above are not big deals. But the above needed work on mine. Ran one for 6 years.

Not a good engine for a LPG conversion by many accounts. 2022 P440e AB
