Many of these products simply raise the cetane number which can raise combustion temperature. This in-turn can have consequences for piston crown, exhaust valves and turbo-charges.

Could turn out to be the worst few quid you've spent.

I'm no expert, but it seems this lowers the temperature, meaning no negative results.
