door mirror motor

Evening all,

i managed to hit the door mirror on passenger side hard enough to break the glass and leave it hanging out. Embarassed

So, bought new glass and fitted but its sortof floppy and wont adjust enough for me to see down side of car.

I'm guessing it needs a new motor/ring thing at about £25 but no idea how to swap out.

Any one know Bow down

You mean how to change it?

there is a torx bolt in the middle and than just un-clip it

should have one kicking around if in need Thumbs Up

Nah, mines broke and floppy (the mirror Shocked ) but I've just learned to live with it. I think it's been broke because you have to put quite a bit of pressure on the glass to get it to click in. I don't know If the ring thing can be replaced but would also be interested to know. Range Rover Sport HSE DYnamic SDV6 Velocity blue 2020 MY

yes it broke when hit HARD Laughing

yeah i wanted to know how to change it Thumbs Up , 1 torx screw sounds easy enough even for me.

Iv'e got a bit of foam jambed in behind it to keep it still and at the right angle.

Adigorn could be interested if you have one knocking around, let me know how much you want if you find it

Did you figure out how to change the motor ? I need to replace mine - have the spare. I see a youtube on how to remove the mirror glass itself. Then the motor is just one TORX screw ? what about the wiring connector ? Do you need to remove the door pillar trim/tweeter and pull wires ? Or is the connector on the outside of the door in the black mirror body ?
