Suspension Fault

Seems to be quite a common problem?! Tried to understand the technical side to all the answers not very well, clearly I know nothing about the mechanics of a RRS!

Could someone answer in layman terms why my RRS (55) plate will occasionally for no apparent reason flash yellow then red suspension fault and then state max speed 30 mph...

Fault clears when turned on and off - never happened more than once per journey.

Any ideas?

Only had car 6 weeks and love it other than that - well other than the vibration through steering wheel when you brake over 50 mph!!

Hi, it would be a good idea to get the car plugged in to read the fault codes. Indy or dealership. Sounds like the common problem of new compressor required. £500 fitted. Brakes sound like warpped discs. What's your mileage?

New discs and pads on the front sorted out my steering wheel vibration.

if you have no records of a replacement compressor or brake discs then I think these items have done well considering your mileage. Time to replace. Met tec brakes are super value. And if your buying a front set remember to replace pads too. Also I have a new pair of rear disc for sale from met tec if you wanted match the front. Slotted and grooved.£50 for the pair plus £12.50 for posting. Fronts are cheaper due to the rears having the brake linings. Fronts should cost you £75 for the pair.

Thank you, had the discs checked and they look like they have been replaced so not that (unfortunately) as that sounded an easy fix. Unless they have warped as not sure when they were replaced I am just told they don't look like they are warn! Very odd as it drives really well!
