deployment steps new Sport

I was thinking of adding deployment steps to my order, but have a few concerns. Has anyone had any problems with them. Also, I was concerned that in the winter they may freeze up, the when you try to use then either a fuse blows or the motor burns out . Thoughts please

Worrying about side steps on the new sport are the least of your problems. Laughing although they look very good, they are way overpriced. Perhaps L/R have factored into the price the possibilty of them being unreliable. Whistle

No it is marginally better than my Black Edition, but after having driven one for a couple of hours I have to say it is not different enough apart from styling to make it worth changing.

I have them, they are really good but should be at that price. They get very dirty in wet weather (in the countryside at least), even with mudflaps fitted.

A friend has deployable steps fitted on his 2006 FFRR and one still works great..... The other was knackered by a local indie who have promised to fix it!

I had a FL2 before, so a big difference.

But I had a MY12 Sport a while back for the day and I didn't like it. Embarassed Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Did I read somewhere that some of the fancy driver aids, especially wade sensing, don't work with side-steps?

I'd be more inclined to have them if they were factory fit. Looking at the instructions and the amount of work required to install them and the amount of the car which has to come apart to fit them, I'm very reluctant. Plus, being exposed to the elements, I think they will quickly look rather tired. Mark

One thing I didn't like was the image, I always thought the RRS as a Drug Dealers Discovery. It did drive well though, acceleration was good but not as good as the MY14 (to be expected). I didn't like the interior much either, the windscreen was too small and I thought rear passenger space was poor for its class. Overall I thought it was way overpriced.

At the time I would have got the D4 or FFRR, I'd never thought I would own a RRS.

I'll get my coat. Whistle Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Wow Shocked I'm very surprised at your comments ref the RRS1. (Overpriced) And you've just paid how much for the RRS2 Question Embarassed (i'm not really intrested how much you payed for your sport) But i'm sure it will have been a lot more than the RRS1. Wink I'm pleased you are enjoying the ride.

Sorry Ady, I was new to the green oval when I drove it, I have to admit it has grown on me since then.

My RRS was just short of £65k. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

I asked a sensible question & apart from two people all I get is a love fest on how they love their car (get a life). I assumed this was a sensible site with good feedback but obviously not
