More and more people are asking the "what do I check for when I pick my RRS up from the dealer" question, so this topic goes some way to build a checklist. I have made it a sticky and we'll run this in a similar vein to the RRS Glossary thread... any additions will be consolidated into the initial post and then deleted.

A bunch of flowers on the back seat for the wife is always a nice touch.

Don't get overexcited - my dealer threw in a bottle of "champagne" which could best be described as poor quality paint stripper. It was quite hideous!

Is there an independent company / professionals that do inspections on behalf of buyers of new cars, similar to AA for used cars?

Have just found out the AA recommend the following Co for vehicle inspections. They inspect new and used vehicles. I may give them a go on the day I collect the vehicle ! Rather be safe than sorry !

Too right. £378 for FFRR, the RRS isn't listed on their site... I expect a phone call is in order.
