LR now do a revised Anti-theft winch so the cable can't be cut,

Jack is stored in the vehicle no? did it have a spare to start off with Sophie Alltoft

@Duckworth parts, yes they are the 20" Diamond cut alloys. The dealer may have said the winch, I'm not sure, was in too much shock to be honest. But yes, I do remember the wheel being there before, just hadn't noticed it's disappearence.  MY16 SDV6 Autobiography

Don't buy the replacement spare from ebay etc. Doing so just encourages the scum to steal yet more wheels. It's more expensive but you should buy the replacement from LR or a reputable source such as one of this site's sponsors.

Buy an RLD plate. Excellent value and easy to fit. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

not got the diamond turned ones, just new sparkle silver with plenty of tread, few scuffs, £250inc vat delivered

Was your spare a full size spare?

Surely you dont need a full spare just the space saver (cheaper) wheel/tyre Mike

You've identified an point that I've been stuggling to get clarity on. I had thought it was a full size (20") alloy that was stolen and that I needed to replace. But it seems that even for cars with 20'' wheels, the spare is a 19'' black steel wheel? Then there are space savers...?

Anyway, this is a great forum, Dan from Duckworth parts has been very helpful and another member has offered me a spare they have lying around at a great price, so now just need to get another winch and the RLD device and hopefully I'm sorted!

One thing though...I read this forum most days from ~August last year to February this year when my son was born and the time to read car forums vanished...this issue was news to me. I may have missed one that is already in existence, but maybe it is worth putting a sticky somewhere to alert new/exisitng owners who have not yet fallen foul of the scum bar stewards? MY16 SDV6 Autobiography

Unless you have a 19" they are all space savers technically i recall.

The full size does fit, but i think it hangs down rather low Mike
