Replace Volvo Sounder on alarm system

Today I disconnected the Volvo alarm sounder under the bonnet (the black plug with 3 wires) so hopefully the car alarm defaults to the car horn now.

I was wondering if those same 3 wires can be wired to another car horn that I could fit in place off the Volvo sound unit?

Has anyone fitted a different horn to replace the Volvo one?

many thanks 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)

that would be an improvement over the frankly Censored alarm sounder.

My alarm went off twice the other evening, for no reason, but both times i only just heard it and that was with all the house windows open cause it was hot.

So yes it would be interesting

Have a look on Disco3 site. There have been threads about the alarm and how to improve it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
