2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

The six wasn't as nible as the 4 I admit, but I wouldn't class it as a strict autobahn cruiser, With the suspension set in dynamic and driving around the A & B road route Audi set us, it out shone both the 4 and the V10 R8 in sheer grin factor whenever you breathed on the throttle Laughing
and all the time you knew you could put it back into granny mode if SWMBO needed to borrow it to fetch the kids, dogs etc Mr. Green RRS gone

What is all this talk of MB and Audi??? Heresy....just plain heresy. Shocked Shocked

For me the Audis were summed up well by Andrew Frankel in Motorsport mag. Something along the lines of; they perform superbly, with all the charisma of a dishwasher.

Rolling with laughter

Adam..

A friend we go out with socially has replaced his FL2 with an A5 coupe and it looks nice and feels quick but.......

I'm now driving more often as SWMBO finds it hard climbing in the back in her glad rags and after a relaxing meal and a few drinks she prefers to glide home in the RRS Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

I must admit, after a 4 hour trip to Cornwall with the tin tent the Q7 isn't as comfortable as the Sport was.

I'm finding I HAVE to use c/control just so I can position my feet in a way that relaxes my back.

Other than that the transition to zee German has been relitively pain free.... and the running costs are way lower. Wink

Thanks for the input guys, I do like the audi's but rs4/rs6 etc would just be wasted, I'm on 9 points and have to drive like Miss Daisy when I actually get to drive the car (not very often at all) and Mrs sparky who uses it daily would have the horrors when she puts her foot down Shocked Rolling with laughter

BKHK - Im surprised by that really, I didn't think it was that small, I suppose compared to the RRS or the X6 it may seem small. Both my boys are out of pushchairs etc now so as long as it can fit the shopping in the boot then I suppose that's enough for me.

Bungleaio - I agree it does look a bit of an after thought Rolling Eyes

Not good, also evidenced by YouTube video of a young Herbert who borrowed a car from a dealership and then ranted it round Castle Combe until he hit a barrier

The Law of Physics will always win over electronic gizmos. I am old enough to have driven trucks with no power steering, crash boxes and no heaters. It was Censored awful.i am grateful for all the help modern gizmos give me to make my life easier. It is nice to drive a pure car on the track but all I want is luxury on the road. Thumbs Up
