England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Nice looking cars but, in my experience, bags of bolts even when serviced correctly and not driven hard.

Had 2 now (mk4 & mk6) and had nothing but trouble with the electrics, gear boxes and engines......... Big Cry

Would never touch another.

Jim

Yes.......swapped the Mk4 after loads of hassle for a Mk6 1.6Tdi (2010) and have had nothing but even more problems. I went for a Golf because I thought that they had a reputation for reliability and build quality?

An acquaintance of mine bought an R32 new and had loads of problems with it and ended up going to court - went on for years until dealer/VW settled out of court to avoid publicity - the way he was treated put him and me off ever buying anything from them Rolling Eyes

They even took it away for investigations and kept it months - this appeared vindictive from my observations. He was in contact with many owners with same problems through a VW forum and his health suffered badly Sad

Ride was so hard it was crippling for long journeys but if you like it and found it reliable carry on enjoying it Thumbs Up Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

I had a mk4 GTi PD150 which needed lots of liitle things doing to it under warranty. Needed a new gearbox just 6k miles out of warranty.

Funny that the two most expensive vehicles I've owned have both required loads of work (Golf and RRS). Had several warm/hot Peugeots which only ever needed servicing and tyres and were driven "enthusiastically" at every opportunity. Skoda and Suzuki both reassuringly boring in the reliability stakes too. Old Datsun was pretty good too except for a faulty starter motor that was fixed with some washers and Araldite! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
