Has a list of specialist independents ever been compiled ?

It might be worth getting quotes from your main dealer. I had my ARB bushes and front arms replaced at my local specialist that was recommended to me. They quoted a few hundred £ less than main dealer but the final bill ended way more due to them quoting me for the wrong parts. They also took two weeks to turn the car around and when I did get it back the tracking was a mile out. Never again! I'm not sure where you are in Gloucester but Likes Landrover in Three cocks have been great on prices and service to me.

Personally I go to AGF in Hartlebury had a few bits and bobs done very clued up team, very friendly and even have land rover diagnostic tool. Very impressed. I have been Egdons as well as mentioned above cant knock the place in all honesty I just felt they have better experience with defenders where as AGF seem to deal more with sports discoverys and FFRR
