What is a good winter tyre to swap out my summer ones with?

I'm about to splash out on a nice set of 22's but want a winter tyre for it, come the summer I'll swap back to my current set. But wondering what you guys buy? I've been keeping an eye on some alloys and they come with tyres but they are just called 'high quality' I'm in advertising and any time we use that term it really means the opposite Whistle . So I'm hoping to talk the deal into just the rims and get tyres separate.

You will have very little choice if looking for 22" winter tyres. Better to downsize to 20 or 19 inch. I have used 19" Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme in the past and they were superb. Got new 20" (same brand) for this season but haven't used them yet. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
Gone: MY16 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Carpathian Grey & Santorini Black Sliding Pano/Ebony & Ivory 2 Tone
Gone: MY13 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition, Orkney Grey/Ivory
Gone: MY09 RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE, Santorini Black/Almond

Yes that is the reason I'm wondering, can't seem to see much Sad I can drop to the 19's again but I don't like the look so much!

I fitted 19" winter contis last year and actually prefer the ride to the 20" fitted during summer Bow down

More choice, cheaper tyres, 19" is also more forgiving with potholes and it gets costly swapping tyres with balancing twice a year on same rims so cheaper to buy another set Thumbs Up Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
