Front track rod end ball what?

Hey lads,

Just had my RRS in at LR having it's MOT, and it kicked up an advisory for:
'Nearside inner front track rod end ball joint has slight play'

Is this something I should be hunting down and fixing? Does anyone have an idea what a fix might cost before I make a call to LR and sound like I don't have a clue (which precedes me getting my wallet destroyed).

Thanks for any and all advice

It's the joint in the end of the steering rack and comes complete with the rod to the outer ball joint , parts not expensive but if dealer doing it will be very expensive Shocked
Wouldn't be to concerned about it to much if only an advisory

I was already spanked by the dealer as it needed new brake pads - front and rear (just pads, not discs) came to £500. I didn't have the time left to get it done elsewhere as the MOT was up the next day. My own fault.

Contact steve at Advanced factors (site sponsor) about £16 each Thumbs Up not a big job and plenty of help and info on here or disco3 forum on how to do this yourself and would get the steering geometry checked afterwards if not then get an local indi to fit ,
If your anywhere near beaconsfield I can highly recommend Broadyway tyres to fit and they have the hunter 4 wheel machine with someone who actually knows how to use it Thumbs Up

I'm mechanically clueless to be honest, so I'd not have a clue how to fit.

I live in west london - any advice on specialist to go and see?

Thanks for the Hunter tip - Beaconsfield is about a 30min drive from me, so I'll definitely visit for the alignment. I was told by LR Park Royal they don't do 4 wheel alignment.

That's great advice, thank you mate.

I've been to crazy bear a few times, not stayed there yet however. Love that place.

Thanks for the help, you've probably saved me hundreds.
