Range Rover Sport 2006 - Loss of sound completely

Hi All
Recently stereo has decided it doesn't want to give out any sound.
Radio is working, cd player works, but no sound at all.
It also seems to freeze the sat nav on the Land Rover screen.
I have removed the cables under the seat which feed into the amp, cleaned all connections.
The only thig I can see wrong is the fibre optic cable is only showing 1 side lit up red.
Is this the problem?
What is the cure?
Any suggestions welcomed
Thanks in advance
Jas

Before my current job I used to code websites, in google its all about keywords, my search pulled up lots of results:

I suppose I could change the word "working" to "work" but hey... Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

Mine did this and it was because I'd left the fridge on for weeks and it had gone into low power mode. Turned the fridge off and hey presto the volume returned.

Try a hard reset that works most times if it does not then it sounds like one of your modules is playing up..

Flack Thumbs Up

Someone said to push the tuning button on the in until it displays reset (or something like that)
Tried that and the radio seems to work a lot better now.
Will see how things go

And that's fixed your sat nav and volume issues?

When you say the tuning knob- you mean the one on the right like the volume knob- has had no effect on mine if that's the one.
Cheers

Stereo intermittently works for a few minutes then goes silent again.
Sat nav wont work then either.
All stereo works but no sound.
