Valuation Variations

My RRS will be a couple of years old in about 5 months so I was starting to look about for a replacement and there's not much around.

Anyway I thought I'd better do some research on what mine might be worth - here's what I've found so far...

What car valuations say... £41.5k Trade, £43.2K P/X, £45K Selling Private and £47K dealer retail; all of which seemed nice but in reality a bit high as I'd thought about £39k Whistle !

Generous WeBuyAnyCar gave a valuation of £34k Rolling with laughter

So I reckon that was a waste of time; do any of you bother with on-line values?

I use online valuations as a guide and look at Autotrader/Ebay but at the end of the day the real value is what a dealer/buyer is prepared to pay and it's usually a lot less than you want Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

Online 'valuation' places are a waste of time; either look on Auto Trader for a rough guide and/or enter your details into WBAC and see the worse case scenario.

I used the new 'Which' online valuation when I got rid of my merc. Valuation was spot on.
