Nissan td 27 running problems

Hi can anyone help, I've bought a nissan terrano 2.7 tdi and its suffering fuel starvation, it won't rev above 2600 rpm if I prime the fuel filter by hand which increase the system pressure it revs up ok.

Any ideas

Hi mate I fitted a new one, did some digging on the net and found they have a very small filter in the injector pump and a how to, so I stripped cleaned it today and its spot on running great.
It will be used for the dogs, kids and shooting and the sport will treat with kids gloves lol

i had one blocked on the filter on the end of the fuel pickup line in the tank
