Which Options worth having?

Have ticked the pano roof and 5+2 as those are a must for us. We also like to go out on bikes so have a large bike carrier which needs to go on the tow bar, that has also been chosen.

Been through a few threads and it seems that mud flaps seem like a sensible addition. Would love to hear what people think of the other host of options one can specify.

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried the rear-most seats? they're very tight so if you need them for anything other than a small child you might be better with the Disco.

What version are you buying? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yes I have seen them. I have 3 kids under the age of 10 so it will be for them when I am ferrying folks around. Would be for occasional use, but we need to have them. Disco was considered, but opted for the fresher faced RRS2.

Ordered the HSE dynamic. Have put the sills and mud flaps on, but wondering if all the other electronic gizmos are any good.

I like the blind spot detector...
- amazing how far away it detects a car during reversing....

Cameras, again, i like. but could be a higher resolution.

Uprated Meridian hifi could be better. 2022 P440e AB

I put the 22 style 6 alloys on, look amazing. Larger washer bottle definitely worth having, Fridge in centre console, should be very ggod in the summer, mud flaps, fixed side sills, retractable tow bar, pana sunroof, privacy glass. Only option I wish I had ordered is the lane departure / road sign recognition, would appreciate the speed limit displayed in speedo as the car defied you in terms of the speed it is doing.

It is my first Range rover, amazing car, it just makes me smile the whole time you drive it......

Andorra 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White

Meridian sound is a must ... even more so now the standard sound has been reduced to a measly 250w

Privacy glass..... just finishes the look and never looks right as a retro fit....

I love my heated steering wheel and use it surprisingly all winter.....

All the tecno driving aids are simply over priced imo and you'll get nought back for them...

Having said that... I always spec Dynamic response On Road pack...big ticket item.. but very appropriate for the driving I do... 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

I wouldn't choose the Land Rover bike carrier. £602? Get a Thule 9403 from Halfords for £160. I have one and it's great (not that I use it much...). It's probably the same anyway!

Other bits on mine

Privacy Glass - looks classy
Blind spot - Good but not sure it's worth the money
Meridian sound - definitely (I don't have it and wish I did!)
Mudflaps - I ordered them from Duckworths and fitted them myself
Deployable side steps - bit poncy but I've found them very useful
Auto dimming mirrors (fitted to mine as a misbuild) - ok but not worth paying for
Electric towbar - does what it says on the tin

RobF,

I meant that I already have a Thule Bike carrier (have had it 4 years, amazing bit of kit), so have ordered the tow bar so I can use it! I read on another thread though that is will still deploy if it has something attached to it, so bear that in mind.

I have gone for the HSE Dynamic to get all the driver-aids, not sure why they are not standard on such a car.

Getting the feeling the sound system upgrade is a no-brainer. Nothing worse than having a car of this cost and hearing a tinny sound. Probably worth a visit to the dealer to hear both in action.

You have to press two buttons to get the towbar to deploy, so you'd have to be 'unlucky' for this to happen. I would worry much more about raising the electric tailgate with bikes on the rack.........

Not sure where you are in Hertfordshire, but if you want to listen to a standard system, feel free to drop by - I'm in East Herts.

Very kind offer Rob. I am on the west side, close to the A41. The dealer (Lookers Chipperfield) has arranged for me to listen to both variants this weekend so I can hear for myself. Can let you know how that went if you like.

I can't live without Park Heating. I think it was standard on my 12MY Autobiography, but is an option on the 14MY model.
