Obsolete phone connector

Hi all,

We've recently bought an 07 RRS HSE. It comes with the fridge in the centre armrest & the old school phone connector under the armrest.

Is there anything I can do to use the connector, like an adapter or something?

Any help would be great, cheers

I guess it rather depends what you'd hope to connect to it.

The old Nokia cradles fit I do believe, for use with Nokia 6100/6220/6230 phones

If you search the internet, you should find a thread about someone using a BMW cradle, they modified it to fit, I still have not found any photos of it yet. 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)

I was looking to see if there were any adapters would allow me to still use it with all functionality on a new phone.

I'll keep trawling to see if I can find anything.

Cheers

Search for BMW iPhone 5 cradle and you will see the connection on the back of it matches the one in your RRS.

I would like to connect my iPhone 5 to this connection, to keep it neat and out of the way.

I just got a Lightning to 30-pin Adapter and plug this into my iPod cable in the glove box, my phone charges and plays music but I have not fully tested it yet. 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)

Ive got the same

means I cant invert the lip of cool box for bigger bottles, thinking of just taking it off seems unlikely it will be much use, do wonder though if this is why my phone doesn't actually detect automatically by bluetooth unless I pair it every time I get in.
