potentional problems

Hi guys, I have had a call from the garage in Chelmsford to say that the range rover I have put a deposit on has had a fault come up and they have taken it to the lr dealer and they have diagnosed lh turbo fault.
What does this actually mean and how does this affect my purchase?
any help greatly accepted.

my deposit is in debit card.

the garage I am getting it from is very reputable and sells Ferraris, porsches lambos etc.

Could be you've found a genuine and honest dealer who has told you of a problem without trying to hide it. If they replace the turbo that's piece of mind for you, as that's one thing that's unlikely to go for a while.
Or
They've had a sniff of getting more money for it and are trying to put you off. If it's a well respected dealership though my monies on the first option and I wouldn't worry- just let them fix it.

V8 turbos don't like being parked up. My guess will be that the actuator or vari-vain has siezed up and thrown up an error code. For a left hand turbo it's a body off job. My car had four turbos fitted due to this and eventually lunched the engine. Buyers choice as far as if you go ahead or not, and as it is a new fault, you would be well placed to pull the plug and get deposit back. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜
