Could be you've found a genuine and honest dealer who has told you of a problem without trying to hide it. If they replace the turbo that's piece of mind for you, as that's one thing that's unlikely to go for a while.

V8 turbos don't like being parked up. My guess will be that the actuator or vari-vain has siezed up and thrown up an error code. For a left hand turbo it's a body off job. My car had four turbos fitted due to this and eventually lunched the engine. Buyers choice as far as if you go ahead or not, and as it is a new fault, you would be well placed to pull the plug and get deposit back. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
