^^^^ As Muddy says, my 12/13MY is a big improvement over the 09 TDV8 it replaced.

The diesel has the 8 speed rotary, the petrol supercharged has the gear stick, 6 speed. |

Hi, sorry to side track your original thread. I'am thinking of buying my first RRS - probably a facelift MY09/10. Am I likely to regret this decision? You mention the old reliability issues. Is this a big problem with pre RRS2 models? |

It appears to be a bit of a lottery so look for FSH and get a bulletproof warranty - I had 6 faultless Land Rovers then bought a lemon MY10 RRS - not had the MY13 long enough yet to decide

Thanks muddywheels. So I guess to be absolutely safe; buy from a main dealer - get 1st year ownership warranty thrown in & then continue to renew warranty. It is a shame for a marque like the RRS to be tarnished with issues & problems. I've owned a couple of 911's - both been absolutely faultless - but engine problems do exist for some unlucky owners costing £10K for a rebuild or new engine. Again something you wouldn't associate with a top marque like Porsche. |
