I previously owned a Golf with its excellent DSG gearbox in which you would good better fuel economy when in semi-automatic mode.

Is this likely to be the case with the RRS TDV8 in Commandshift mode?

I had a 4.4 TDV8 Vogue courtesy car for a month back in 2012 and using paddleshift I was getting better fuel economy than my 3.0TDV6 RRS without so I think it does save fuel

Still hoping for a S2 one day!
