Always go on 5C/CL/CS farm sites and never had a problem Thumbs Up

Have heard tourers in France being turned away with twin axles - many think it's to stop gypseys Confused

Motorhomes cause most damage - have pulled them out after getting stuck - a twin axle spreads weight on extra axle compared to single so better imho Cool Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Plus muddys cost per week would be better the longer he kept it I presume or he got away more. I'm away every 3rd weekend so mine works out even cheaper.

The down side fuel is getting more expensive but if you would drive a sport if you didnt have a caravan it doesn't matter.

RRS Daz - I was going to keep it 5-6 years then sell privately but thrown in the towel now it has been repaired before it goes wrong again http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic32073.html?highlight=caravan Sad

As the Storm comes with 10 year water ingress warranty hoping to keep it longer Confused

Also looking at Storage nr Daughter/Oxford now so I am not lugging it up and down at 17-22 mpg any more and should see 30-35 mpg if previous solo trips are anything to go off Cool

Weekend trips will now be out of the question but hoping to get more weeks away instead - up to 10 weeks planned this year if I can manage it Twisted Evil Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Don't worry Ady - anywhere North worth visiting can be done in a day trip from where I live Whistle

The further South you go the longer it takes to get anywhere - and as for Essex - I've heard it's so bad people cycle because its quicker than driving Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

SWMBO is from Borders/Northumberland and I lived up there from age 9-19 - we both have family up there still so when we want to visit we don't need the caravan - I agree the area is beautiful - not as good as Yorkshire though Twisted Evil Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I have fond memories of my D2's but never towed the caravan with it - used a Landcruiser before though - up to 80 mph with no stabiliser and not a twitch Embarassed

Go over 60 mph in the RRS with stabiliser and it gets a bit scary - it could be to do with how I can no longer fill the boot with everything the Disco and Landcruiser could swallow Confused

Why does everyone pick on D4 owners - I thought Pikeys used transits and pick ups Whistle Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Hi Simon - just seen you are on CT - I was a bit worried about posting about this as I was nearly lynched for daring to complain about my Cyclone problems Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
