Mystery Beep

I have to admit I can't hear it, age is getting the better of me, Sad but my better half and others have said they can hear a tiny beep noise when say stationary at traffic lights etc, about every 30 seconds, it has apparently been there from new, I can only think perhaps it is the alarm sensor, it is difficult to trace, especially as I can't hear it,, Exclamation Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

No beeps here, either... Probably stating the obvious, but have you checked your glovebox, center console, door/seat pockets or any briefcases in the car to make sure there are no "forgotten" electronic devices in there, such as PDAs, MP3 players, etc., that may be running low on battery. Some of them beep annoyingly to remind you to replace or recharge their batteries soon. If it was something from the car I imagine you would get some sort of fault code in the LCD as well.

No nothing that would beep left in the car, apparentely it has been there from day 1 Surprised
Unfortunately I can no longer hear high pitched sounds, sadly common as you get older Crying or Very sad
I have been told it is a low beep every 30 seconds or so, only noticable when you stop driving but engine running Confused
I will ask at the dealer next time I am in there, although might be difficult to explain about a noise I can't hear Shocked Shocked Arrived - RRSport 2016 HSE SDV6 HSE

I heard a faint beeping on my car this morning Confused
I had just pulled out of the end of the road and I heard about 6 beeps. It was very faint and I think I only heard it because I didn't have Terry Wogan on Wink
It was a definite beep and not the sound of a DVD accessing the drive.
I haven't a clue what it was Confused Confused

Can't say I've heard anything like that either, but my hearing's not the best.... I know the DVD noise that RRUK is referring too and I suppose that could be construed as a beep to someone that doesn't know what they're hearing....

Odd.

Does the beep occur all the time, i.e. when driving, when stationary, when you've just started or simply all the time?
