How bad are the front tyres? On a 4wd vehicle ive always changed all 4, but i keep a very close eye on my tyres so that they wear evenly, by swapping fronts to back when necessary. I would never run a mix of tyres either All tread patterns must match for my vehicles. Surprising how many people run odd tyres. |

It's fine to change just the back two, but if they have bad wear, I would look at getting a proper alignment done to rectify any erratic wear. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Agreed, all four is best, think considering the overall mass of our cars, rubber should be at the same wear n tear all round.
