can i please please please swap my diesel fuel bills for yours shmoogle ? i would get down on my hands and knees and beg you if i thought my local blood out of a stone department (tax office )would give me an allowance on it would even throw in a suggestive invite in from back entry bertha just to sway things a little [/img] tried this at the tax office and they upped the allowance on business use of her room |

As I understand it (and I've been doing this for some years), If your company pays you an allowence per mile, you can claim back the tax on the difference between the company allowence and the IR maximum, which is 40p. So, if you get 15ppm from your company, and you pay 40% tax, you will be able to claim back 40% of 35p, which is 14p (for the first 10,000 miles, then it drops down). Hope this helps. RRS 4.2 S/C.
