United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
suspension red light then...

Help please,
My wife was coming back last night when the red suspension light came on, the car started bouncing around then slammed to the deck puncturing the off side rear tyre in the process, the car is now proper slammed. it drives and the light is not one but now the wheel arch is lower than the tyres. Got it towed back, with difficulty. A call to the warranty company Monday.
Any info welcome. When you start the car compressor does not start up, but the front is fine!

Could be the Air Suspension Compressor - did you have any previous warning lights appear - these would be yellow advising ride height only & showing a symbol of the car with arrows above it.Was the compressor noisy - it lives in front of the passenger rear wheel. If it is the compressor I've never known the failure to cause punctures or total failure without warning. Big Cry are all the other wheels at normal height ? what messages if any do you get when your try staring the RRS Question 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Hi PEACHY, no warning lights before, no extra noise, yes two front wheels are normal height, just started it up and there was no message the dial was saying it was at max ride height so turned the dial and pump started now its back to normal. This is more worrying. more help I think. RRS 2006 supercharged

Could it have been the puncture FIRST not the EAS failure ? Thumbs Up that would make a lot more sense Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Hi PEACHY, thanks for your reply, Would that cause the both sides to drop all that way down?
If so good times but it makes no sense. RRS 2006 supercharged

Very Happy who knows - our cars have a mind of there own Laughing Disco Mikey / Flack or Bodsy might give you a bit more info if they pick up this thread later. Happy days if its just a puncture Thumbs Up still a pain but it could have been worse. Get it repaired & see how you go - proceed with caution. Spend a few minutes lowering & raising the suspension just to make sure its working fine. 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

it would if debris or something has punctured/snapped the suspension pipe work as both sides are linked together on the rear, when i had a leak both sides dropped, but the leak was on nsr

update:
Right, took the tyre of, found that it had a plug in it and had been repaired, the whole side wall was week due to the last owner driving with a flat tyre Censored so this blowout then dropped the car, why both sides is any ones guess.
put the spare on (which is a 19'' hse black wheel with a nearly new continental on, not the 20" supercharge that it came with, thanks hagley cars Censored ) car is sitting fine no lights no warnings and all seems ok!
Still not sure what's going on, but all seems ok.
So on another matter/thread Is there any one out there that wants a 19" rim with 7mm continental to swap for a 20" supercharged 2006 with tyre? who lives in or around the Wolverhampton area. Thanks all. RRS 2006 supercharged

Update, today got two new tyres fitted as didn't know if the other rear had been run flat either so to get rid of any doubts and due to comments about same tyres on axels, thought better safe and have less money Big Cry than sorry.
Taking it to the garage Saturday to have full diagnostics done to see if there was anything picked up by it.
Let you know the outcome. RRS 2006 supercharged
