Head Unit led lights not working...

As the title says when I turn on the side/ headlights the stereo head unit led back lighting doesn't work.

I've tried turning the adjuster dial by the headlight switch and all other lights dim and brighten as they should but the HU leds stay resolutely off. Evil or Very Mad

I pulled the head unit and checked the ribbon cables from the main pcb to the pcb located in the fascia but all seems in order as all other functions work. I also visually inspected the fascia pcb and couldn't find any obvious damage or burn marks.

Also the back lighting to the info screen on the head unit dims and brightens as it should when the lights are switched on.

Basically at a loss what could be causing this...

Does anybody have any ideas??

Flack maybe?? Wink

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Hi Burns,

Thanks for the tip Thumbs Up

However I found the problem after stripping down the HU. Obviously at some point a single strip on one of the ribbon cables had doubled over. Once I carefully folded it back flat and reinserted it all good.

Cheers
