Id argue, if you used the sport for what people say it was made more, that would cause more damage than fitting some 22" wheel.

Let's compare 10k miles done off road v's 10k on road with 22" wheels fitted, see which has more damage.

Your car your decision.

Mine came with 22" alloys and me being out in the sticks means you feel every little bump and knock, but had nothing to compare it too. After having 2 of them repaired due to cracking I found a nice cheap set of standard 19's very local to me, so I put them on over the winter.

The difference was unbelievable to the point I said I'd never put the 22's back on (and I loved the way they looked as well)..... I've since replaced them with a set of 20" stormers which are still not as comfy as the 19's (obviously) but a massive improvement over the 22's.
