Tyrepal - sensors stuck

i have a tyrepal and the sensors screw on to the valves

though today i wanted to top up the air, only the two front sensors are stuck on the valves Evil or Very Mad

I have tried clamping the valve with pliers to stop it rotating, but could not get enough force to get the sensor rotating off, so have resorted to a tiny spray of WD40 to hopefully free the valve

Tyrepal, say remove the sensors each month, especially in winter due to salt speeding up corrosion, but its just been over a month since i last did it, they also recommend a wd40 spray or silicone grease to help prevent it

I have since managed to get one off, clamping the valve with pliers and using a second set of pliers to rotate the sensor, one is still stuck Evil or Very Mad

So if you have a Tyrepal, its worth checking and maybe using something on the threads and remove them monthly

I have had to wreck the tyre valve getting the other sensor off, which also stripped the sensors thread Evil or Very Mad

so £12 for a new tyre valve and £35 for a new sensor when they come in stock Thud

I'd be having a word with Tyrepal Nick - given you're a repeat customer, they should be able to do you one at cost, seems a bit rich making you pay £35 IMHO Sad ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

spoke to them, i take them off once a month to clean the wheels as i didn't think wheel cleaner would be the best thing for them, though it was just over a month ago i last did it,

they were not interested, best he could do was charge £35 and do free p&p to save me a fiver Rolling Eyes

i have now taken them off all my tyres, as i dont wish to risk it again, i bought it to see if they would work on my twin axle caravan, and they do, so i will put them on there only from now on

Shame, small gesture in customer service, would have cost them nothing and lead to good word of mouth......some firms just don't see the bigger picture. Rolling Eyes ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

i thought the same, i was also surprised when he told me the discounted TD1000 i bought for £99 was sold with a limited 6 month warranty, which was new to me, but i think mine was a year old anyway

That's priceless, offer a discount, but reduce the warranty period Rolling with laughter
You've got to wonder how long they can trade with ethics like that Whistle ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
