United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Sat Nav Update

I recently bought a official land rover 11/12 update disk to replace what i thought would be a 2007 sat nav disk from when the car was new, When i ejected the old disk there was a 2010 update disk in i put my new update disk in but it as done nothing it has carried on as before and not updated, Have i done something wrong, Thanks Steve

Ste I have don the same put in a 2009 and then a 2012 and got no change I have been told that you are supposed to get a update bar in the screen , but I have not had this Big Cry I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. If you fine out can you let me no and I will tell you If I do. Happy days fozzer Thumbs Up

the new discs have new mapping and will only upgrade the firmware if you have the old one..

Thanks scarey, I think i get it Fozzer the firm ware is up to date from the from the 2010 disc my new 2011/12 disk just updates the street maps, Is that right Scarey ?

the new discs will only update the firmware if it needs to be, if it doesnt then you have the latest ....of course the maps on the 2011/12 discs will be newer ... Thumbs Up

Thanks for the info lads but even with the newer sat nav disc in it still can not find my post code ( my home is 2 years old ) built in 2012 Big Cry , put when I use my tomtom it finds it on problem Banging Head Banging Head Banging Head any help

Paul, I don't know if the 2010 disk is genuine our not as it was in the car when i bought it and not sure how i would find out, Maybe one of the forum members could let me know if there is a way to tell the difference, Obviously if it is not genuine i wont be selling it..
