HELP!!! This is doing my head in!!!

This has probably been covered a billion times over on here so I apologise In advance!

I'm currently on the hunt for a RRS but what keeps happening is, I find the spec I want but condition ain't great then I find one in great condition but the spec isn't quite there.

I want a fully loaded HSE with rear entertainment,DVD and digital tv.

If the vehicle I find doesn't have this and I chose to upgrade it with an aftermarket system, is there a system on the market that allows the DVD/digital tv to play through the factory fitted front touch screen satnav? Or will it only work through the newly fitted rear screens?

What age?

I wouldn't worry about RSE - there are plenty of none fixed options (like ipads)

As a person that buys them new, ive never been tempted to buy RSE as I wouldn't get any benefit from it... Mike

2007.

I don't think DVD and TV on just the front screen (to benefit me) is even an option is it?

not seen anywhere that will upgrade just the factory-fitted touch screen navi to DVD and TV

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

You missed mine..... Had all the boxes ticked at order. Happily now being enjoyed by its new owner. RSE was an expensive option and digi tuner was also extra. Great when kids were younger but never switched on in years. Granddaughter just a bit too young to appreciate now
You will have to compromise I guess, not unusual when you buy secondhand. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

I went through the same scenario...

In the end I found the perfect RRS and compromised on the rear ent/tv. Again I sought advice from those who had it, like my brother. He has rear screens in his Audi but they're more annoying than use really, purely because his two daughters put the headphones on, demand a dvd or tv even on the shortest of journies - like every time they get in the car.

They've lost the skill of talking and communicating! lol

So for me, blessing in disguise and not missed. Long journey this summer to South of France I may buy a head rest mount for the tablet or standalone DVD player headrest mounted - there are plenty of options and it shouldn't be a deal breaker when you find the 8/10 RRS.

Good luck!

Simon
