Clay bars are on the road to enlightenment Wink

If you clay your paintwork, then give it a good polish and seal it will look/feel better than polishing alone.

Do mine every 6 months or so. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

i use clay bars quite often when giving the car a good seeing too

I use the bilt Hamber ones which only need water as a lube, as i find these for the money are best value

Though I have been tempted to purchase the clay cloths, seen on detailing world

http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=323203

Anyone tried them yet?

Not tried the clay cloth Nick, can't bring myself to shell out £30 odd on one Whistle when I'm more than happy with my BH clay. Cool
I like the fact that I can see the contaminants on the cream BH clay too and when I'm done with it, I use it for wheel/windows then throw it away.
A clay cloth just seems to be more hassle IMHO. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

CMLE - whilst you're ordering Bilt Hamber stuff, add in a bottle of Korrosol.
It's an iron contaminate remover. Wash the car, then spray this on the paintwork, leave for about 5 mins. It will change colour to purple, this is the reaction with metal fallout that's embedded in the paintwork.
Then rinse, then move onto claying Wink

Also work brilliantly on alloys (spray on, leave for a couple of mins, then agitate with mitt/brushes. Thumbs Up

Finally, check out Detailing World for a guide to claying and to see Korrosol in action. Clayings not rocket science, but good to see a few pics as you can end up inflicting damage to the paint if you're not careful Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
