Transmission Overheat Slow Down message

Hi all..

Went out to the motor this morning.. -3 it was and I hadn't moved it since ~16:00 yesterday. Turned the ignition on and had a Transmission Overheat Slow Down message on the screen. I've had this a few times when stationary (mainly when been stationary for some period of time).

Has anyone any idea on what is likely to be the cause of this?

TIA for any info Smile

Cheers..

Ian

A diagnostic tool with live data would confirm it but a failing temp sensor in the mechatronics is the most likely cause. It will change the gearbox shift strategy and could trigger limp-home mode.

Hi Robbie..

Thanks for the thoughts / info on this one. The box _seems_ to change gear OK currently, smooth and at varying revs depending on how much you hit the loud pedal (although this being my first auto, this is just an assumption).. but definitely something I'm going to look into getting sorted sooner than later Smile

Cheers..

Ian
