Scotland 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Mine regularly does because I live in rural east scotland and have to deal with unmade roads and sh Censored weather.

BKHK I totally agree with about the big suv thing and beemers, when I was much younger than I am now I had 5 off them in all shapes and sizes, even an X3! I did not have a moments trouble with any of them, in fact loved them till a new job brought a company mondeo which meant the bm had to go.

Another job change and i need to buy a 4x4 due to location and had always poo-poo'd LR / RR's as, youve guessed it. a w Censored s motor. The wife persuaded / instructed me to test drive one as her pal had one and I was totally gobsmacked, so I swallowed my pride, changed my opinion and touch wood, to date no real problems, apart from a puncture and a cracked windscreen which I cant blame the car for.

I have found also that RRS has improved my driving as its such a nice relaxing place to be.

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The RRS has returned - the diagnosis was a corroded turbo actuator arm along with a turbo actuator full of water. The arm was sticking on its travel causing too little / too much boost tripping the car into restricted performance mode.

Land Rover 'upgrade' kit has been fitted including a new drain for the actuator - I was sent an article on the D4 website with more details. It sounds like it was a complete pain to get at and replace - unsurprising I guess given where the turbo is buried in the engine bay. Hopefully this cures the problem.

I think the car is also accelerating more smoothly when the high pressure boost kicks in although I could be imagining this to find some positives after paying the bill - which in all fairness wasn't too bad and helped by a very nice Indy who explained the job and was infinitely more helpful than the franchised dealers I have dealt with... I even got a great quote to renew the ARB bushes considering the car has DR.

Hopefully I am due some fault free miles.......
