Hi I have an I Phone 4S, which I use through the phone system of the RRS 62 plate. No problems but you have to link the phone to the car not the car to the phone. |

My phone is connected to the car ok but they can't download the contacts list so when someone rings I only see the number and not the contacts name. Plus I am not able to search for a contact . |

Had no issues connecting my Iphone 4, once paired over bluetooth and the code entered ( 2121 ) the phone should dock and automatically download your phone book.

Its a typical answer from a dealer when they are stumped to blame the phone. It should work ok and download your phone book with no problems..

Hi just a bit confused. Why do you have to go to a dealer to link the phone with the car. It is a relatively easy task. I am no mechanical/ electrical expert, but just followed the instructions in the manual and job done. |

when I bought the car that dealer connected the phone for me just to save time while I transferred my gear from my old car. once I got home (275 miles later) I realised it had not downloaded my phone book . So the following day I registered the car with my local dealer and they offered to do it for me but failed. So I was thinking if they can't do it I don't stand much chance. I will try again on Tuesday when I inherit an iPhone 4 ........... |

When you did it, suggest you link the telephone with the car not the car with the telephone. I found on my 62 RRS that it only worked that way around. |

Thanks for the advice Midsman but I had done exactly as you said but no phone book download . Tonight my accountant popped in to see my new RRS and in 30 seconds had the phonebook downloaded RESULT !!!! The problem was that in the phone book menu the auto download was turned off . This is amazing that it took an accountant 30 seconds but the main dealer could not do it at all ! |
