You will have a slight change in rolling radius i.e. 45% of 275 compared to 40% of 275 e.g. about 13mm bigger radius, raising the gearing which will make your speedo read slow.

I replaced mine with 275/45x20s in order to give a marginally smoother ride. I found the 40's were too firm a ride.

I have recently fitted 4 Kumho 275/45/20s to my RRS and am very happy with the results. As Russben says, the ride has improved and also the steering feels more positive than on the previous continentals 275/40s. No issues with rubbing anywhere |
