United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HST Java Black
Late '08-'09 onwards 'updates' questions

I've been looking at a few TDV8's of the '08/'09 vintage and the 2009MY models seem to have a few differences (clear taillights for starters)

Can anyone tell me what sort of improvements/updates there were around this time?

I'm assuming that Bluetooth phone was standard by now? What about iPod connections etc?

Any other visual differences?

Thanks in advance. Thumbs Up

Scotland 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I think the main changes were colour coded boot strip, clear side repeaters, clear taillights, electric steering column, black LR badges.

This page lists all the changes that came with each MY models. I know it's for the disco3 but it still pretty much applies to the RRS as well :

The ipod kit remained optional on all 05-09 models, so if it hasn't got one fitted then you will just have to use the AUX or get the ipod kit retrofitted. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

My 2009 Buck Blue compared with the 2008 Stornoway Grey had clear tail lights, colour coded bottom boot strip and I think that was also when almond was added to the interior trim colour availability. There were also some small interior differences with trim, the boot was carpeted in the same trim colour as the rest of the carpet, I think previously a the floor and the boot carpet had always been black? Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

A small thing, that not a lot of people know about, or appreciate on 09MY, is when the key is out the ignition, the seat moves fully rearwards, and down to ease getting in and out of the car.
When the key is put back in the ignition, it moves to its last position Thumbs Up

All for a simple CCF edit Thumbs Up

The moving seat action is a good tigon , I have it on my car and it's useful .... It's opposite when getting back in , but if you turn ignition key before its back to previousosition it stops moving forward. ( on mine anyway)

I like the 09 MY options , the cars seemed to have a lot available as 09 was an upgrade to the models later in the year.

TST TDV8 HSE....Gone but not forgotten ....class act
Cayenne S diesel.....850n/m....385bhp....the danglies ...

My 08 has this feature ? In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

I think this feature (Lazy exit) is only fitted to vehicles fitted with electric steering column, which was introduced.in MY2008.5.

My RRS is a MY2008 and it doesn't have this feature. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool
