just a quick question, if these flagged up red on a health check and needed replacing would they show up as advisory on an MOT certificate ?

Not quite sure what you are asking here.

Do you mean if you had a health check done at a dealer or any other garage would these faults found be logged on the MOT database as 'advisories?

Answer - no. Advisories only get logged on the database at the time of the MOT inspection.

If you mean 'would these be noted as advisories at an MOT inspection?'

Answer - it would be at the discretion of the MOT inspector. If he considered the wear to be not dangerous then it may go down as an advisory. If serious it might be a fail. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Hi,
Well somehow your full post came through via email but I'll assume you decided to edit out the full text on the forum.

The dealership in question does indeed have the worst of reputations.

You need to look up your rights under the Sale of Goods Act and threaten them (by letter) with a small claims court action and follow it through if they don't settle out of court. The Citizens advice Bureau and local Trading Standards Office were very helpful to me when I was in a similar situation when a dealer sold me a car with undisclosed faults. The dealer settled with me in cash without a court action. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
