Active cruise is brilliant. Can be a bit harsh at times but it's easy to modulate it if you're paying attention. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I'm not a fan!

For me even on the close setting it cuts in when someone pulls infront of me so I have to override with the throttle.

Just keep minimising the cruise distance to the car in front with the steering wheel button and all will be well - until some numpty pulls out in front of you and the RRS slams on the brakes. Takes some getting used to but after 4 years I'm a fan !! FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

Also not a fan. If you change lanes after slowing down transmission down shifts to get back up to cruising speed

England 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Siberian Silver

Just tried mine- waited for it to slow down when a car pulled out in front of me at 70 mph. It didn't slow down. It appears my cruise control isn't adaptive.

The adaptive system includes a box in the nearside end of the radiator slot. No box, no ACC (on prefacelift models). There is also an additional button on the left hand steering wheel frame. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Ok let me put it another way. The cars opinion of a car been too close to the front of me is not the same as my opinion, that's on the closest setting. If I use the furthest one I'd have to be alone on the motorway.

Also when you corner on the motorway it can pick up other cars in different lanes (I take it the lazer is one straight line beam?)

Or just could us yorkshire folk drive a lot closer together??
