Can you not stick the bikes in the caravan (secured of course), or on the back of the van?

No and No. Long haul over night stops 3 bikes potential damage to van, rear of van not strong enough to support bike rack. |

Roof rack on sport? Might be difficult to get them up there. |

Flange tow bar or roof is best option I think |

Still don't see why the bikes can't go in the tin tent whilst it's being towed. Sure, you'd have to chain them to the 'van overnight but don't see why that's different to having them on a rack on the back of the RRS. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Worries about damage to the van putting them in (awkward narrow door) or when towing made me get roof rails - I also want to carry my kayak next year too so roof rails kill two birds with one stone - although security is my next concern |

Is there not a strong point on the rear of tin tents that you could mount a towball to for a Thule type rack to mount to??

I've seen racks fitted to the back of tin tents but really they are just a fibreglass shell so I'm not sure how they fitted them. |

I would think somewhere low there must be a frame that could take the loading |

Elddis offer a rear mounted bike rack but not cheap and heard of warranty issues if fitted so steering clear as I have enough problems already |

Has anyone fitted a witter detachable flange type towbar to a HST car ? And does it clear the rear bumper? If so that is the root I will take with a maxxraxx bike rack. |
