Switzerland 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
need help for specific problems

Hi
My name is Reto and I'm from Switzerland.

I'm really happy to found this forum about the RRS with so many enthusiasts. There is nothing similar in a country anywhere else.

My car is a 2006 RRS supercharged. I did the autobiography conversion this year.

So, I need your help now for the following questions and problems I have. Hope someone do have an answer for one of the "problems".

1. interior light flickering
a few months ago I replaced the interior bulbs to led. Everything worked correctly till 3 or 4 weeks ago. Since then the interior light is flickering. Why?

2. headlight error fault on speedometer
I changed the headlights to 2010 during the conversion. My dealer says, the original headlight were "afs" and the ones I bought are only "cornering" I tried to reconnect the older headlights, the error fault was gone, but with the newer lights the bulb flashes again on speedometer. Is there another way than buy new correct headlights?

3. lowering while parking
If I'm parking in ride high, close and leave the car... a few hours later, the right rear side is lowered. a day later, the whole car is lowered. I meant to see, tha the car lowers step by step. What can this be?

4. high unpleasant tone at speed of 100km/h
Between 100 and 140km/h there is a load-dependet high tone. the first dealer meant the front differential should be replaced, the second dealer meant a bearing from transfer gearbox. hope the words are correct in english.

5. rear parking sensors
Of course I used new ones with a new loom. the front sensors working great, but the rear not. most of time there is that continual tone... sometimes they work. What can here be the problem?

6. Ivory leather
I'd like to make some new covers in leather (seats, armrest etc) but there's no way to buy the "ivory" leather. Do anyone know a dealer?

So, I hope you guys do have any ideas and answers for me. thanks a lot.
Reto

Welcome to the forum.

1. Your LEDs are faulty and need replacing.

3. I think it is quite normal for the car to lower itself, mine tends to do that now and then. If you are still concerned you could get the suspension re-caliberated which might solve it.

5. Either faulty rear parking sensors or wiring loom.

6. I have seen some leather seat covers for sale on ebay, most of them were removed from fairly new cars which had been modified. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

3. The vehicle will "wake up" every 6 hours and check that it's level. If not, it will settle down to a new level. If the vehicle is lowering over time that might suggest a faulty ride height sensor or a leak in one of the valve blocks. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
