Tdv8 exhaust modification

I'm looking to give my tdv8 I little more throat to the throttle, now I'm not talking about making it louder just more of a deeper rumble.

I've watched a few YouTube clips with car back system on and they do sound good but not maybe the sound I'm after.

So I was thinking of a decat pipe or taking a middle box out??

Does anyone run a tdv8 with a decat pipe? If so did the exhaust change sound?

What about a k&n filter to get a bit on v8 induction roar?

Thanks

That's great Very Happy

Also the cost of the decat pipe and degree of difficulty would be good Thumbs Up

How come that customer is taking the cat off?

Mine is running with straight thru pipes in place of the rear boxes. It sounds good, without being obtrusive. I have to admit I haven't had it next to a standard TDV8 though. I will try and compare it to a friends truck over the weekend and let you know.

Thanks mark.

I had the window open last night while driving and it has a nice note when under throttle but nothing really can be heard inside. Which isn't always a bad thing.

A switchable exhaust would be good like the 911 pse system.

I was thinking of a decat over a straight through system as I presume the cat is a lot more restrictive than the exhaust baffle box?

We have a few custom exhaust places in leeds that can remove exhaust box's etc but I didn't want to go that route if it become too much when cruising on the motorway.

I'd read the cat was very restrictive on this system.

If I went the custom exhaust route I'd probability start at the back and take the box's out and put some tailpipes on.

^^^^^ Thanks for the link but I had already found that with the search button. Didn't want to forum police saying use the search button Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

My aim is for a deeper v8 sound when under throttle by subtle when on steady motorway throttle.

I'm open to suggestions.
