With the mornings getting colder I am thinking giving the battery a good charge would be a good idea.....I have only had the car a couple of months and it's an 06 we don't do many long runs just a few miles city driving daily. My son just got a new Ctek charger and I read somewhere where the battery can be charged without removing it from the car through the sockets at the back of the car.....Can someone tell me which one I use? There are two, one with a white cover cap and one with a black one. 2010 RRS TDV6 3.0 Autobiography - Stornoway Grey

Why cant you just attach the charger directly on to the battery ? |

You can of course connect direct to the battery but this normally requires the bonnet to be open as the clips may short to the bonnet if closed.

According to handbook connection direct to battery can only be made when disconnected from vehicle - using ctek with tow adapter apparently solves this problem |

My son charged mine for me over night, three green lights showing on the CteK when first connected, seven showing after charge. |
