United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

Isn't the Land Rover extended warranty operated by Car Care Ltd ?

Yes it is. So what? It doesn't alter the fact that it is effectively transparent in use - you take your vehicle to your local LR dealer and they fix it "for free". Sure, there are some items that aren't covered but that is the same for all extended warranties. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

^^^^ No problem, RRSTDV8; we've all had them have a good weekend.

Just as an aside I first did business with Car Care Ltd back in the mid 1970's !! when I was a Dealer Principal with Ford so they've been about awhile. Like all businesses they're not a charity so just be sure what you are and are not paying for and you wont be dissappointed.

We're completing on our house sale on Monday so it's all a bit "aaargh!" at the moment as you might imagine.

Just read the FAQ to see if I can help answer the above queries and discovered I may have been entitled to refund of the 18 months warranty remaining when I px'd my old RRS this summer Shocked

Dealer never mentioned this but did say they could not transfer balance to buyer as it was a trade deal Big Cry

Rang LR Warranty and apparently I am not entitled to partial refund as shown on website Shocked

If you wish to cancel your policy after this 30-day period, you may cancel your policy in writing at any time and receive a pro rata refund of your premium based on the number of whole months remaining subject to the deduction of a cancellation fee of £35. Excuse given is this for new policies so my £1500+ refund is paying for the champagne this year at their xmas party Rolling Eyes

Contacted LRCS who reply this is a Car Care Plan issue and nothing to do with LR even though it says LR on all the paperwork Thud Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

In effect you're buying an insurance policy from Car Care Plan so it's their ball and their rules. Sadly. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
