United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I saw that it was badged as an S/C but surely a diesel filler, the diesel smell and the ruddy great diesel lump under the bonnet would rather give it away.

Actually, I've just looked carefully at the dash picture - the rev counter is a petrol rev counter. This all seems very odd. Without wishing to doubt the OP, might this actually be a S/C after all? All very odd. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The fact that they can't tell a S/C from a TDV8 is more worrying than the state of the premises!

Just looked again at that link - the car is badged up as a Supercharged - doesn't the TDV8 exhaust pipes turn down ??? I never notice because I'm never behind one long enough to look Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter ------- Whoosh Whistle

Right you've all convinced me, I'm now on the hunt for a factory HST either TDV8 or SC.

Have any of you guys used AA Car Inspection before? Kinda want a prof look over before I buy, does LR have a service like this when buying private or from and indp garage?

Lancaster Land Rover in Welwyn have what looks like a nice TDV8 HST at top dollar but they all look good in the pictures. Might be worth a look?

My TDV8 appears to have the important bits from that list except the active rear diff. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black

Hi,
I can't comment re price - though the car looks lovely.

My advice would be to look at the 59+ model, if your budget can stretch at all.

I say that having purchased an 06 myself first which I had for 3 years. I now have the later model and in my opinion it is everything the first car ought to have been.

I know we all have different budgets for our cars but seeing the reg reminded me how near you are.

My advice would be give one a test drive and then make a choice, Thumbs Up

I'd be inclined to start a topic and see if any of the chaps here can offer that service in your area. I'd likely trust the opinion of a guru/specialist/enthusiast from here than a bloke who just checks random cars and doesn't know these cars specifically.

It's expensive compared with a private sale standard TDV8 but it has low miles and a couple of thousand pounds worth of HST kit and being Land Rover approved I would hope it comes with a good warranty. Dealers typically don't want to reduce the sticker price but perhaps you could negotiate extras such a a longer warranty, free servicing and MOT for a couple of years? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

@Stuart, my exact thoughts! lots of newbies to RRS would rather trust a specialist off this forum than a random bloke from RAC. Perhaps one for Martin to consider.

They are offering 1yr warranty which is probably worth the extra price I guess? Might ask for some free servicing too?
