Got up this morning and wife gave me the bad news. One of you back lights have been stolen. On closer inspection, they had pysically pulled it off the car, leaving the side of the lamp unit still attached to the car. and one of the locating pins broken off. Security screws would not have stopped this one. I am glad he did not cut the cable,he unplugged it. I assume that they only wanted the LED units from inside the lamp,to put into an old type lamp. Its probably some who cant really afford to run and update their car,so expect us to do it for them. I have seen them in garages, team of Jack the Lads messing about in a RRS and putting £10 fuel in the tank. Just cost me £190 To enable some to partly update his car.Got to hope he dont come back for the other side. If he does and i catch him it wont be just the light that will be broken itisme |

Thanks Panda unfortunately they would not have helped as he broke that side of the light off. Left the panel with the screws still intacked. Lets hope that this is not a new way to nick them itisme |

35 pages on this item now, and that's only on this forum. So begs the question who is taking them, I doubt there is that many Sport owners doing the deadly dead, however there is always a lot on Ebay etc.

As Bigdavy60 States He was not to Bright, Thinking he could just pull it off. He probably released the outer edge then thought the inner edge came off the same way, carried on pulling and broke the secured edge off. He ended up with something that is useless, and i ended up £190 out of pocket. And sleepless nights wondering if my pride and joy was safe. itisme |

Is this just limited to 05-09 lights? I have an 06 but with the later lights and I can't see any screws visible without lifting the tailgate. |
